Sports-related Injuries

We will review the mechanism of the injury, whether it was caused by a one time event, a series of events, or a result of gradual or repeated patterns movement, and identify  the source. Once the acute phase of the injury is resolved, we will work to correct imbalances which may have led to the injury by assessing muscle strengths and lengths and providing you with targeted therapeutic exercises to correct the imbalances discovered. Through very specific analysis of the movement patterns related to your activity (ie throwing, racquet use, position, pose, gait pattern, running analysis), you will be instructed in ways to improve upon  alignment and function to optimize performance of your activity.  

Therapeutic exercise and functional retraining will help assure you are as strong and stable as can be going forward as you return to full participation in your sport or other activity. As you gain new awareness and strength, likelihood of reinjury will be greatly reduced.
