Recurrent Pain Problems

Dreyfus icons3.png

Have you tried various practitioners, modalities, or medication to alleviate pain but continue to be frustrated that the pain returns? I will work with you to explore the history of your injury or pain issue, what treatments you have had in the past, and listen very carefully to the story of what you feel has been successful and what has not helped you during your journey to find comfort.  I have been successful with patients who have pain in a range of areas.  Back, neck, headache, jaw,  knee, hip, shoulder, arm and hand and foot and ankle.

I will do a thorough physical therapy assessment of your muscle strengths and range of motion, observe your postural patterns and talk with you about your daily functional activities.

Through this careful assessment we may discover muscle imbalances and/or  postural or functional habits that continue to contribute to the pain. Subtle postural cuing, guidance on therapeutic exercise and daily activity with limited 'homework' to be done between session will be part of each session.

Each time we meet, I will check in with you to hear how you've done with what you learned from the previous session and tailor continued treatment as appropriate for you to continue to progress. When appropriate, we will use subtle manual therapies as well.
